Flagship Project
TaniTokou: Rebuilding the Digital Bridge for Farmers
TaniTokou is our pioneering project—an AI-powered 'Digital Tamu' designed to connect Sabahan farmers directly with buyers. Inspired by the real-life struggles of local farmers with produce waste ('lambakan'), TaniTokou uses innovative technology, including an AI voice submission feature, to ensure that even non-tech-savvy farmers can participate in the digital economy.
It's a platform built to increase farmer income, reduce waste, and build a more resilient food ecosystem for Sabah.
The Problem
"The project was born from the real struggles of Sabahan farmers, like Puan Mastiah Sangkong from Pitas, who face heartbreaking financial losses due to produce glut ('lambakan') and an inefficient supply chain."
Our Solution
"TaniTokou is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that acts as a 'Digital Tamu', allowing farmers to sell directly to buyers, set their own prices, and utilize a 'sell before you harvest' model to reduce waste."
About the Founder
Tani-X Technology is led by O'Dell Obrien Gapitar, a software developer with 14 years of experience in building robust systems. His passion for technology and his deep connection to his Sabahan roots are the driving forces behind the company's mission.
